| Description of Submission: "When I went to college my mom asked if I wanted a different license plate since she was loaning me her car with a North Georgia license plate. I went online to see what was available and just out of curiousity I looked to see if they had a gay pride plate. Of course, there were none. How could I have hoped for such a thing in the middle of the Bible Belt where Christianity still rules everyday laws? So I made this license plate in honor of ones that aren't there but should be. Most specialty plates have a specfic graphic other than the peach so I pulled the gay pride rainbow. Also, specialty plates list the organization's cause they are supporting along with a catch phrase. I chose "I'm normal tool" because it embodies hwo I wish to be treated as a bisexual female. I want people to look at me and see a whole person, not just my sexuality. acrylic paint, sharpie marker, ink pen on poster board" - Jennifer Why Karen and Melody Liked It: We loved the idea of making a Gay Pride license plate. Too bad the states don't allow us to design our own plates. This would really make a statement of support to all GLBT family members. Jennifer had a really good idea. |
