Description of Submission:
"The work of art depicts a hand in which the fingers are people. Two of the fingers are the same gender sharing a
caring embrace. The thumb is a short older man that refuses to allow the same sex couple to have happiness. While
the other two fingers depict a couple that is considered normal by the standards of the world. While the same sex
couple has no care about the older men’s hate, the page overflows with colors and overwhelms the darkness. The
world is behind the standard couple and anger is behind the old man. Although there seems to be so much
pressuring the same sex couple they are uncaring and continue to love each other. The colors they represent
overflow and represent their freedom. All the people are placed upon the hand to state that we are all equal and are
considered people with the same ideas and feelings." - Karina
