Poem “Denise
Hernandez” By Tasha Palmer |
Desciption of Submission: “This poem doesn’t have any other title, I wrote
this especially for my fiance.
About how I felt after being engaged. It’s very
deep, and visual. I’m taking in the
moment and remembering everything around us-
what I feel, I see, and touch.” – Tasha

Take my hand, lean in
closer Let me in, a little
whisper As I look into your brown
eyes And push back your
beautiful hair don’t forget this night I can see your gorgeous
face In the moons caressing
light As I move in for a kiss Ready to take in fate Your lips my finger will
trace I’ll look deep and long As I say so softly.. “With you I belong, For now and for always,
love me. Hush baby, don’t make a
sound You’re all I see You’ve been the one I’ve
searched for All my life, you’ve been
here I’ve waited eighteen years And now here you are Baby, my eyes fill with
tears Sparkling like the shining
stars My heart plays a song I could live the rest of
my life happy Knowing you’re my One My one and my only So as I’m standing in
front of you My arms open for only you As you feel my fingers
entwined with yours Can you feel what’s true Within my heart, engraved
your name I think its time, I’m
ready now To give you.. All of me and everything.. True love, I’ve finally
found I guess what I mean is.. don’t yet, don’t speak Let me finish Denise Hernandez, Will you marry me?” My lips gently pressed
against yours My arms wrapped around you
warm A ring doesn’t prove our
love Wedding bells don’t mean a
thing As long as I know your
mine Is all I will ever need. “I love you, for now and
for always With you is my place to be” |
