ELIGIBILITY:
KarMel Scholarship (2012)
AWARD CATEGORIES:
   Your work must include gay/lesbian/bi/transgender content.
    You may submit 1 submission in the "Artistic" category
    You may submit 1 submission in the "Written" category.
    You can submit a maximum of 2 submissions.
    You can submit to either or both categories.
    Written work of any length will be accepted.
    Artistic work must meet US Postal Service requirements for size and content.
    Additional scholarships may be awarded pending donations received during the year.
Best Written Gay/Lesbian/Bi/Transgender Themed Work ($300)

     Fictional Story                 Editorial
Best Artistic Gay/Lesbian/Bi/Transgender Themed Work ($400)

   Drawing                             Video
   Song                                  Photo
   Painting                              Comic Strip
   Be creative and come up with you own artistic idea.
     High school students, undergrad and graduate students can apply, if they will be attending a college, university, vocational or trade school in the Fall 2012 or Spring 2013 semesters.  You can also be a high school student who is taking extra courses in a junior college.
      You may reside anywhere in the world, but you must be attending or planning to
      attend a college, university, vocational or trade school in the United States.
      You do NOT need to be gay/lesbian/bi/transgender to apply for the scholarship.
  The KarMel Scholarship was created to encourage students to write/create something that will express their views on the gay/lesbian/bi/transgender topic.  It is designed to challenge students to create something unique and to showcase the many talented artisans/writers.
